Oh, Geraldine. I spent the day defending you and then you do this:
“Any time anybody does anything that in any way pulls this campaign down and says let’s address reality and the problems we’re facing in this world, you’re accused of being racist, so you have to shut up,” Ferraro said. “Racism works in two different directions. I really think they’re attacking me because I’m white. How’s that?”
Where to even begin? Perhaps it’s the challenge at the end — “how’s that?” Really, Geraldine? Why would you issue a challenge?
I’m so confused. Am I attacking her now because she’s white? Do I really hate myself this much?
The kicker, though, is the idea that no one’s allowed to criticize Obama without having the race card thrown at them. Um…I’ve NEVER done that in ANY debate I’ve ever had with anyone who prefers Hillary. You know what HAS happened almost EVERY time? The gender card gets played.
Wow. I mean, if you tie this in to what was reported yesterday she has now said that Hillary is treated unfairly because of sexism and that you can criticize Obama because you’ll be unfairly addressed as racist.
“This is my cake,” says Geraldine Ferraro, “I would like to both have it and eat it.”
